Rob,
Regarding your question about the existence of seat belt anchors, I'd
suggest looking from the underside of the car. On my series IV, there are
large nuts welded to the underside of the floor pan behind the seats and and
forward of the jump seat.
Regarding your second question, there is a common mistake that DPOs make
regarding the soft top on the series IV/V cars and it may be the same for
your car. On the series IV top, the mistake is to screw the short metal side
piece over the material under the side flaps that hangs inside the car. This
will prevent a top from folding down completely. It might help to look at
