Which leads me to yet another 2nd inquiry. I won't need them for a while
but might as well ask if anyone (again preferably in NorCal) has SV seats
available?
Thanks

I have found that super weatherstrip adhesive holds the
best over a long
period of time. It is imperative that both surfaces are
perfectly clean and
that the glue won't pull off whatever coating (like paint)
is underneath it.
The adhesive I am talking about is made by Permatex and is
tiem # 80638 or
part # 80b. I use acid brushes to apply and throw away brush
after each use.
Coat both sides and allow to dry..then apply a quick coat on
one side
allowing to get almost dry (very tacky) and press the pieces
together. I
used this over 5 years ago on HERBEAM and nothing that was
prepared properly
is coming apart. If sticking vinyl to metal I advise bare
metal..the glue
adheres very well to bare metal (as rootes did) and you can
paint any areas
still exposed after gluing. For large areas spray contact
cement will hold
most applications and for restoring floors sound deadening I
use roofing
paper and plastic roof cement. Ends up just like original
and waterproof
too.
