Bob,
The super weatherstrip adhesive is made by 3M (p/n 51135-08008, black,
5oz tube) and I use it on just about everything. However, if the job
calls for a larger area to bond together, use the General Trim Adhesive
spray (p/n 51135-08080). Use it to bond foams, lightweight headliners
and carpet. For "super glue" applications, use the 3M Quick Fix
Adhesive, one of the very best Cyanoacrylate glues on the market. For
heaven's sake, don't use any of the quicky mart glues in the little
tubes. Our Alpines deserve the best.
