being priced closer to their bottom line. Consequently your car may or
may not be finished in time.
I'll go along with this statement! I took my car in last April for what
was supposed to be a 2-3 week job. 1 week for subcontracted media
blasting and 2 weeks for body work and paint. I got strung along for 3
months while insurance jobs were coming and going. I should have brought
it in during February like the shop owner suggested since business is
slower and they can get on restoration projects without interfering with
their bread and butter. The other part of the statement is fortunately
true also. Restoration projects are priced closer to their bottom line.
In my case I don't think they even covered their bottom line. But they
sure seemed thrilled to be working on an Alpine!
