I'm a very novice painter, but I have done some painting with a single stage
urethane as well. I had the same problem with dirt. I just used some heavy
grit buffing/polishing compound and got good results. Let the paint dry a
good 4 or 5 days before you do this though. It seems to take this type of
paint a long time to harden.
