Sergio,

The instrument voltage regulator is a mechanical device that vibrates some
points
so that the avg output voltage is more or less 10vdc.

If you measure the output with a cheap needle type analog voltmeter
"d'arsivol or
galvanic movement" the inertia of the needle will damp out the rapid change
of
voltage, and you will get a reasonable reading.

Use a digital voltmeter, and it will read all over the place due to signal
aliasing.

If the gauges show good, and dont jump around, you'll be in pretty good
shape,
if the analog meter reads low, this could be why your temp showed low.
