Any modification to the shape of the sliding piston or bridge will have NO effect
upon the
flow into the engine, because regardless of the better flow capabibilities, the
diagphragm
will still lift the piston to the level required to maintain a constant pressure
differential
across the piston.

If you want to help out in the performance dept, port the manifolds to the head,
and smooth
out the intake runner of their casting flash.
