Floor pan restoration: contąd.

Finally, all of the remaining traces of floor pan sound
deadening/undercoating gunk have been removed. While only
minimal surface rust (no scale) was revealed, I decided that
a corrosion inhibiting paint was is in order as I have no
intention of ever doing this job again. I choose a 2 part,
commercial grade, marine paint by Devoe called Bar-Rust. Its
used on steel vessels where they are subject to high
moisture, corrosives and wear exposure. Its pretty thick
stuff so you get a good mil build up in one coating. The
fumes are harmful so use an organic vapor cartridge mask at
a minimum and plan on keeping the wife and kids out of the
house (if your garage is attached) until it cures (6 - 8
hrs.). Ill pass on further information if anyone is
