Jerome,
The Lucas dash toggle switches were black. If you have a dead switch with a
good paddle, it can be removed and installed on the good switch with the bad
paddle, but the trick is not scarring it in the process: I found if you bring
water nearly to a boil and insert only the handle in the water, the plastic
will expand and the handle will glide right off. You can do the same with any
Lucas switch, and this means when you find the same switch with the wrong
paddle (like for a Jag) at a swap meet for 5 bucks, you simply have to switch
the plastic knob. Be careful not to introduce water inside the switch...and
this includes vapor, so a little tape might be a good idea. I had to change
all of the paddles on my Tiger, because the prior owner had installed all new
Jag type switches. EZ.
