Good for you! It is fun when you get a car out for the first run in a long
time.
As for the wheels turning. The rear wheels can turn when in neutral because of
the force of the oil on the gears in the transmission. The lay shaft is in
constant motion with the clutch engaged (ie. pedal up from floor). The only
other possibility would be the mainshaft to input shaft roller bearings
seizing to both shafts. A very unlikely occurence. You can find this out by
stopping both rear wheels from turning.
As to your clutch slipping this has nothing to do with your rear wheels
turning. That would cause a lack of wheel turning! Hope this helps a bit.
