couple of weeks.
The last time I was up there, in December, I drove by the old Route 66
in
Seaside. It is basically a dump now.

Jay, I was there last Sunday and it still is a dump. They had maybe 6
unremarkable cars for sale.
The previous owner, Bill Biler, moved his operation to that wonderful
Pacheco Pass _resort_, Casa de Fruita. He has plenty of neat cars as
well as loads of cool automotive memorabilia. He calls it Casa de Cars,
but is also known as Route 66. He's usually open by 9 am most days and
is located on State Route 152 about midway between I-5 and US 101.
Certainly worth checking out if you're in the area. I usually get by
there once a month just check things out. He still has a fairly decent
'62 or '63 Minx convertible for sale with a Ford 2.8 engine & 4 speed
for something like $7,500. Cheap he's not, but he loves to negotiate.
