On a rare occasion for me I actually sat down to watch the tube the
night before last. Just in time to see Liz Taylor smash the red alpine
through the barrier and down the embankment. Yep, Butterfield 8 was on
again.

Took the Series V out today for a little mid-winter test run. I just
modified my pressure relief valve according to the tech tip on the
Alpine page - Jarrid's procedure and drawing, I think. I also installed
a fuel filter as found in the Sunbeam Survivor. I ran about 10 miles
total after completely warming up the 'beam on the driveway. At 3000
rpm's I have about 65 lbs of oil pressure, with about 30 at idle. (Idle
for me is about 650 rpm - with a Weber carb and a Pertronix Ignitor, it
is smooth as a baby's backside.) I ran it up to about 90 mph and held
it there for a half mile or so - ran great! I sure am glad to be out
here where I have both the room and salt free highways to run on.
