Regarding gas tank repair, I had a leak at one of the outlet tubes on a side
tank a few years back. After I had the tank boiled out, the welder at my
local exhaust shop tried to repair the brazed seam it by brazing it. He could
not get the brass to stick to the 30+ year oiled metal. He filled the tank
with water before he attempted to braze it...good idea. (I replaced the tank)
