I am trying to figure a way to use o-rings on the oil pump
to inhibit loss from here, I'll get back soon with my results.

Subject: oil-pump shaft cuts through oil galley
In case anyone wants to know...
There was some chat a little while ago about how the shaft of the oil
pump cuts through an oil galley. I checked my 1592cc block and it does,
creating a horizontal oval opening that is 0.8" wide and 0.5" high.
I am still wondering whether I should "goop the (oil pump) shaft."
