Okay fellow 'piners, I have no qualms to thoroughly embarrass myself, so
here goes:

After giving up on that damn rounded bolt (thanks for all the tips by the
way), I took the ol' drill to it and promptly snapped two bits whilst
drilling. Okay, no problem, get another one. This time I drilled into the
side of the head, all over the place. Would you believe I have the prototype
titanium bolts Rootes was considering using? I've drilled this sucker till
it looks like swiss cheese and it still won't pop off! I was given good
advice yesterday to keep my cool, so after dropping the sledge hammer I
walked away. I'll bring out the dremel tonight and be done with it.

Now on to the comedy - after this defeat I wanted a success story for the
evening. For days now I have been soaking my door hinge screws in WD40, and
even went and bought a proper # 4 phillips screwdriver for the big event.
So, I finally got all the screws loose (there's a message in there
somewhere), propped my thigh underneath the door, grabbed inside the door
with my left hand (the panels are off) and let the last few out. Aha,
success, the door is loose - I AM THE MAN. Oh s*ht, what's this? The door is
still attached!

Yep, forgot all about that little pivoting thingy inside the door. You can
imagine what happened next. I had nothing nearby to prop under the door so I
just stood there for 10 minutes, holding the door, soaking in the hilarity.
Finally, with my TOES (yes, popped a shoe off for this) I was able to reach
a few boxes nearby and drag them over. I managed to get them underneath the
door enough to be able to let go. WHEW!

Needless to say that was the end of the evening for me.
You may laugh now.

Anyway, with the free laughs I'm giving you today I'd like some free advice
in return.
HOW DO YOU GET THE DOORS OFF THIS CAR!?!?!?
