I recently told you all about the latest family crisis which has brought
me to put my series 5 up for sale. I should clarify the situation. Dad
said to me once when I was about ten years old the following thing.
First a preamble. Driving through a very poor part of New England. I
could not believe the poverty that I witnessed. So I asked the question.
"Dad, why do people live like this?" His answer has always stuck with
me. "Some times life has a way of putting you in a hard situation. No
one wants to be here. But they are too poor to stay and too poor to
leave." I have found more lessons in life through the path that
ignorance will lead you to if you let it.I try not to find myself on
that path.When my son was born the thing that went through me was FEER!
How would I meet the challenges. The answer: GROW UP FAST, SELL
EVERYTHING THAT WAS NOT ESSENTIAL, AND NEVER BE TOO POOR TO STAY AND TOO
POOR TO LEAVE!
The only things that I have are family and a series 5 alpine. I bought
the car for my son. But if I ignore my subconscious I always regret it
later. This is probably why I have no material possesions. But I am
prepared. The fear of poverty makes me plan ahead. I am thirty years
old. I can always find a nice car. I just can't feed a car to my
brothers kids. We have gone through bad times before. I like being
prepared for the worst. Everything will be fine. Earlier I kind of
insulted by a response. No harm was meant. I just thought I would
clarify the story.
In church we used to say "PEACE BE WITH YOU" "AND ALSO WITH YOU"
