Valve cover and oil filler neck should be natural. Generator, pulley and
brackets should be black as well as the block.
I regards to modifications, it seems you're going to some length to keep the
Alpine original, so stay with the original carbs. What you do to the
internals of the engine depends on what your going to use the car for.
Simple everyday driving, you best to perhaps run an electronic ignition, add
an in-line gas filter and enjoy. If you want a little more power do the cam,
add headers and the rest.
