SVRA appears to cater toward cars with race history, but I am not certain
that that is an actual requirement.
SVRA seems to be the exception, and only runs on the right coast.

Vintage racing has become big buisiness, and most of the obvious rules
no longer apply. Most vintage race orgs do not require a vintage logbook,
although some do, both non profit and for profit orgs.
Why, becuase it became economically non-feasible to run legitimate
vintage only racing.

Most race orgs allow levels of modifications that would have made 60s and
70s racers drool, although most race orgs also have a "vintage correct"
group
where the car must race as original.
SVRA looks to be very conservative in thier modifications dogma, although
policing it may be another matter.
