Hi listers, I'm Dave, brand new to the list and located in Seattle.
Recently my son bought a non-running 61 alpine to restore, started
collecting the missing bits, then found a 62 in good condition, so is
driving that instead. Now what to do with the 61? Last weekend we decided
we should build the 61 into a vintage race car. Problem is we don't know
where to gather the information so that we can go about making a serious
period race car out of it. Can anyone get us started in the right
direction, I'm sure alpines were raced and maybe still are. Who are the
racing suppliers, specialists out there? Perhaps someone in the listers
group is involved in racing an alpine. Was there ever a factory "Works"
type effort to race alpines, if so, maybe a racing build sheet is available?
