Huh?
Machining tolerance doesnt enter into the picture here.

I dont think any US import alpines came with LC engines.
A low compression engine was built for export into territories
that had poor gasoline quality.

Low compression engines have more dish volume than high compression
engines. They are built for low compression, not tested that way.

Low compression engines produce less power than a high compression
engine, but can run on lower quality fuel.
