Based on the ID numbers, my 66 series 5 is a "Low Compression" model.
I'm assuming they're talking about cylinder compression tested at the
factory. That is, a bore that is machined to the high limit of the
tolerance with a piston machined to the low side of the limit would give
a lower compression rating. What are the ramifications of a low
compression engine vs. a high compression?
