Howdy,
Heres one for you guys. My Harrington LeMans has a broken drivers side
roll-up window glass. The DPO had replaced the original one with a piece
of laminated glass that was too thick, Well...it didn't take long for it
to crack. As a result, I am looking fo a side window glass to replace
the original one that somehow got broken years ago. This glass is not
the same shape as a standard Alpine, so that rules out that idea and
makes finding a replacement next to impossible. I took the car to our
local glass shop to see if I could have a piece made. The gentleman
there said that it could be done, but he wanted to check and see if he
could get an original piece from his supplier first. He claims to have a
source for finding glass for just about anything on the planet.
Well...I'm not holding my breath and I told him that I would eat my
shorts if he could get the original glass. I can just hear his supplier
now..."Harrington what?...Nope...it's not in my book, so it must not
exist..." I'm sure you've all been there before!
Wish me luck! - Ian
