Paul,

I got my tanks done late last year by Gas Tank Renu, but I'm about
2-3 months away from finishing putting the car back together, so I
can't really comment on how they function. I opted for both the
interior and exterior coating. The interior coating was fine, but
getting the exterior coating was a mistake. The exterior coating
was very thick and sloppily applied - looked like it was brushed on
by a 5 year old. Maybe this would have been worth it if the tanks
are exposed underneath the car and you need that extra
protection. Not the case with our cars. PS - I should have asked
more questions before opting for the exterior treatment.

In retrospect, given the cost of the treatment (around $200, as I
recall), I'd go for the Eastwood or POR15 tank coating kit for $30 or
so, esp. if your tanks are in good shape. You can knock out the
job yourself in an afternoon.
