Well, I'm new to the list.....tonight my wife and I bought a 1963 series
III alpine. The chassis plate shows BC19203825 GT below which appears 39
LRX sb. The motor code is B94101658 LRX, which I believe is a series IV
motor. It has a single carb. Looks to be a Sonex to me.
It runs good. Although, I don't trust the guages. Non synco first gear
that's for sure, so probably a Series III transmission???
I've got a ton of questions and really would like some help!
What should the brakes be like??? The guy says he redid the them, they
seem kinda weak to me???
Also I would like to redo the seats. No foundation left. The cover have a
couple splits but nothing too bad. Any suggestions?
Need a trunk latch. The part on the bonnet cover is there but the rest is
missing.
I think it might have MG wheels too. Any help here would be appreciated.....
