Series V head vs. Series II head

Early last week there was discussion that there is a difference between the
SII head and SV head in terms of the intake and exhaust valve position on
the #2 and #3 cylinders.

Basically, if I understand this correctly, you cannot run a SV head on a
SII without changing the cam to match the SV head.

Is this true?
