55 pounds is when it's hot. How accurate the gauge is, is anyone's guess!!
I run castrol 20/50 for oil to keep it thick, and I drive it every sunny day
to work with no problems. The previous owner mentioned to me that he did
have a lack of oil pressure problem, so he removed the relief valve, cleaned
the spring and re-installed it. After that, he no longer had a problem. Do
you think it's sticking, creating this artificial pressure, or is it just
the gauge?
