I have never had any trouble towing an Alpine anywhere with a towbar.
The secret is to take off the front bumper and drill 2 holes through the
jacking frames so that it never comes loose. I guess the farthest I've
towed an alpine is from El Paso or Reno...thats about 800 miles. The
car is light...tows easily...and talk about cutting expenses!!

I am pulling my Alpine from Michigan with a towbar. I have brackets
welded to the jacking frames . With a borrowed towbar and lights, and a
$45.00 recycled trailer hitch I'll have about $100.00 in transportation
hardware. The car has been towed this way a number of times in the past.
