I decided to put the Alpine in my city's little 4th of July parade. It
runs about 1 mile through the main street of the city. I got in line
behind the parents pulling their kids in decorated wagons, city politicos
in Miatas, people in pick up trucks etc. After about 1/2 mile of
creeeeeeeep, stop and go. I overheated and died. The starter locked and I
was left on the side of the road. 1 hour later, I came back, turned the
starter manually with a wrench, it started up and off I went. That is the
last one of those I think I will do :-( I thought I remembered someone on
the list who only used his car for parades. This appears to be pretty hard
on my car. What's the secret?
