RE: Seat Bolts

Thanks Dave-

I thought I was going crazy (can't say 'nuts' as that pun is too gross even
for this family oriented list) when I could not get anything to fit. Kevin
Meek clued me in that Rick at SS carries a substantially complete
replacement set, including the pivot bolts (which appeared to be 12mm 1.5
pitch metrics, but were such a crazy shape Rick's were well worth the cost).

I'm still trying to assemble the pieces and am missing one ratchet plate,
Rick promised he'd try to find one for me, but meanwhile if anyone here has
an extra . . . I also have a few pieces left over that are baffling me
that does not even show on the parts manual page that Rick faxed to me.

Perhaps you, or someone on the list knows, it is about 4" long, has a 1/4"
hole (smaller than the bolts) in the upper tail, in the middle it has the
type of fastener used on the piece that connects to the ratchet. On the
long tail w/o the hole, there is an area where a _lot_ of wear has occurred.
I have two of them and they are bent significantly out of shape latterally
(implying they are important if that much force has been expeded on them).
I was also getting my top frame powder coated when they did this, so I am
unsure if it is even related to the seat, but I am pretty sure it is. Is
there something that is supposed to go on the opposite side from the ratchet
assembly?
