Might have spoke too soon Saturday after installing Pertronix ignition
in Series 2. Today I again drove it as I usually do early Sunday
mornings. Did not heed the caution about bringing the old points and
condensor with me in case of Pertronix failure. Well about 5 miles into
the run it started missing and hesitating like it was going to stall. I
would apply gas but there was a definite lack of power. So I stopped at
an intersection to check a problem that Rob Nanzig has had with the
rotor coming loose. All was well and tight so I attempted to start it up
again and it just turned but no spark. So I had to call my son to bring
the old set and it fired up right away except for the timing difference
between the two systems. Drove it home with him following and
immediately switched back to the Tectronix and it fired right up. Your
guess is as good as mine as to what happened, but I would sure be open
to any ideas or related problems. Thanks Brent Kasl
