While I was looking for the answer to Patrick's problem, I discovered
something which may be of interest, or even useful, to some. I looked at
the driver's seat (left hand drive), and while looking at the seat/back
hinge arrangement, decided to remove the sheet metal cover which is on
the right side (inside) of the seat (opposite side to the handle).
Underneath was a grey painted steel piece, of essentially the same
shape, which carries the pivot screws etc. Painted on the steel piece in
large (3/8")black letters was " BLACK.....SCARLET PIPING", which was
(and still is) the original colours of the leather upholstery.
