Your light switch is not original. All dashboard switches (except the
heater blower)were the toggle type. The blower switch was attached to one
of the heater levers (pull the lever to turn it on). I believe the blower
switch was changed to a regular dash switch when they went to a two-speed
blower on the later Series.

The switch functions on the early Series cars were labelled on the backside
of (at one time) transparent plastic bezels while the later Series cars used
considerably smaller flat metal rings.

Several of the period road tests included the dash layout. So if you have
any old car magazines or "gold portfolio" type of reprints, you should check
them. However, I agree the shop manual is about the best investment you can
make at this stage.
