coolant disappearing

I just got back from a 200 mile round trip with my Series I. It used a
gallon of coolant from start to finish. The car does not leak at any
easily discernable point. At highway speeds, I can smell antifreeze,
but there is no obvious source of where it is soming from. and a visual
check reveals nothing. This does not happen in city driving, where I
can go all year without losing anything. The normal operating
temperature of my car is 190, city or highway. When on the highway, it
stays at 190 for about 30 minutes, then climbs to 195 and the guage
flickers, which indicates that it needs coolant. I just did a pressure
test at operating temperature on the rad. Not a drop. The exhaust is
clear, the rad holds pressure, nothing leaks when standing still, the
car runs fine, but the coolant blows out from somewhere at highway
speeds. I know it is going somewhere, but I can't where from. Has
anyone else had anything similar happen?
