Brent,

        In the northern climates where we need antifreeze, we always mix it 50/50
and I have never used distilled water in any of my cars including the 1954
Sunbeam Talbot I have owned since 1962. Never had a cooling problem and
have never had to have the rad cleaned in all this time. Unless you have
salt in your house water, I wouldn't worry about using it with the
antifreeze. I would not use water that comes from a water softener.
