It is amazing the different points of view you get when a question is
asked of experts in the field of auto repair. I recently removed the
radiator from the Series 2 and took it to the radiator shop that does
most of the repair work here in Lincoln. I have them pressure test it
for any small leaks and give it the once over. I asked the owner about
what type of water to use when refilling with antifreeze. He told me the
perfect mix was 55/45 and to always use distilled water. A well known
mechanic in town who specializes in Porsches but has a good reputation
for British cars also told me to never use distilled water and that
regular tap water is ideal because of the minute ingredients that is
necessary for the system to work properly with anitfreeze. Who do you
believe? Brent Kasl Waiting to refill
