There is no purpose for the ballast resistor on early cars.
They didnt have them, or at least shouldnt.
Early cars had a special coil, with a higher primary resistance,
which removed the need for a ballast resistor.
If you are using a true SII coil, or a non-ballast coil, the
pertronics unit may not give you enough dwell.
If so, remove the resistor.
If you have a SV coil, or a ballast type coil, you MUST
use a balast resistor, or you will kill the pertronics module.
