Dave,

Need more info. What Series? Generator or Alternator? Sounds like the first
thing I would do is disconnect the battery and charge it for at least 12 hrs.
with a slow charger. When this is done before connectiong the last cable end
up to the battery put a 12 volt test light inbetween the post and the cable
end. with all switches of and nothing like a clock or digital radio in the
car the test light should not light up. If it does you have a draw on the
system that you will have to find. No charging will definately cause the car
to die as you are using up power in the battery after the jump start.
