I also have a 1725 from a '69 GT. And yes I have an electronic fuel pump.
Works OK for me. I purchased an SU pump because with those Stromberg Carbs
you can use more than 2-4 psi of fuel pressure without overflowing the
carbs. The pump is under the car under behind and to the left of the
battery and forward of the rear axle. I used a U shaped pipe holder from
the hardware store to secure it in place. I also isolated the pump with
rubber to cut down on the noise.

I figured as much. Now for a real question, the engine and chassis
numbers do not match the engine number is B399004167. Which I think is a
1969 alpine GT motor is it the same as the 1725. I am wondering this as
there is a fuel pump in my future. I would like to thank you all as I
have read the archives at the alpine site and it has been much help. jim
