I've been using my Series IV for the past 29 years as a "working" car by taking it to the station and short
rides around town on a daily basis. I only put about 3,000 miles per year, but I do start it 5 days per week
and run it a few miles per day.
I have the car in for its second restoration and will have it done in about a month. I'm wondering about
changing its use pattern to just driving every few weeks on an "around town" basis and not use it for work
every day.
The question is:
What are tips and techniques to keep the car in best condition with this use pattern. How do I keep the
battery from getting drained? What do I do to the oil and fluids to keep them proper. Should I keep a
battery charger on the car, etc,
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
