To lift of not to lift

I looked in my engine compartment this weekend. The good news is that with
the wheels on the wheelie dealies and the air deflated just a little bit
out of the front tires, the top of the engine will clear the front lip of
the car with the 20" floor jacks I have. However, the bad news is that I
saw that in order for the engine wheel out the bottom, I'd have to take off
my Webers. I think that would be about the same amount of work as
splitting the engine from the transmission, and also require new gaskets.
So, it looks like I might not be doing the wheelie dealie thing after all.
Too bad. I seemed so quick and slick. Still might though. Having a
freshly painted bonnet loose always makes me very nervous, and it would not
have to come off for the wheel out the bottom manuever.
