I bought a 1967 Alpine Series 5 2 months ago. On a recent weekend pleasure
ride, one of the seals on one of the carbs sprung a leak, sprayed fuel on
the manifold, and caught fire.
Damage is contained in the engine compartment, and the engine was running
when I shut it down. I would be willing to bet big money there is no damage
to the engine itself.
the body is in excellent condition, and it is white (originally green). I
have the original hard top.
BOTTOM LINE: I have twins due in January, and I do not have the time (or
inclination) to restore her. Does someone else want to tackle the task? I
live in Columbus, Ohio and am accepting offers.
