I think that I am not going to like the answer to this question but here
goes anyway. I replaced the oil pan gaskets (again) in hopes of stopping the
oil from just pouring out of the bottom of my engine. After completing this
task all seemed OK for a few minutes then oil started dripping out from
between the metal plate that covers the bellhousing and the bellhousing
itself. By the time the engine warmed up it was dripping out at the rate of
more than 1 drip per second. This sounds a lot like the rear main seal to
me. Somebody please tell me that it is not. Please?
Thanks,
Kurt Eckert
