Kurt,
Sounds like that little stupid cork seal on the main bearing cap. I put
about 20 pounds of the blue silicon on it before assembly. Alpines do leak,
mine leaked from new, ask my parents they wanted me to resurface their
driveway! Also the pan kits sometimes come with two different cork seals,
make sure you're using the proper one. Last resort weld the pan to the
engine......ha..ha.
