Hello all,
The windscreen for sale is off of a series II. The reason for the angle
on the bottom is because series 2 had a guide for the crank-up window that
went to the top of the window, whereas a series 1 had a short guide that
allowed the window to flop around because it only went up about 4 inches. A
series 2 may fit a series 1, but there would be a triangle shaped gap. a
Sries 1 will not fit a series 2. They can be MADE to fit each other with the
change of the side window frames. A series 3, 4, 5, Tiger has the same
windscreen with stainless steel and sandwiched rust encourageing metal
frame. The late and early wind screens will not fit either unless the cowl
is modified to accept them, labor and cost prohibative. Hope that helps. Lou
