ColeIt's Daewoo. A Korean car new in the US market. They're received pretty
good reviews as to fit and finish. A bit underpowered, though.
As to the Alpine's pipes, I haven't used the tape on the Alpine but had
excellent results with my Tiger. I wrapped the headers with Thermotech
wrapping, all the way down the pipes, mufflers, to the end of the car. It
made a dramatic difference. The heat stays much more in the pipes and does
not transfer anywhere as much to the interior of the car. Proof was that
before the tape, if you messed up and touched the headers while running,
result was a serious burn for sure. With the Thermotech, I could put my
hands around the header pipes without ill effects. Still hot, mind you, but
no longer dangerous.
