I assume we are talking of synthetic oil here...

The main contributors to oil pressure are internal clearances, and oil
viscosity.
Synthetic oils are similar to petroleum oils in how they change viscosity
with temp.
Most will say that synthetic oils will protect your engine better through
better thernal conductivity and higher degradation temps, but I doubt you'll
find
many that will claim that you'll get higher pressure with synthetics.

Dont run synthetic in an engine without a working PCV valve, you will load
the oil
with hydrocarbons, and reduce the life of your expensive oil.

Oh, and if your engine consumes oil, the smell of burning synth oil is very
different
to normal motor oil. Ive been told "unconfirmed" that oil burning engines
that
use synthetic, have toxic emisions.

Good luck.
