I had to visit many parts stores until I found "Perfect Circle
cam/lifter lubricant" at a NAPA parts store. Like you say about the
Molly lube is correct. I bought many different tubes of so-called
assembly lube that said it consisted of Molly and graphite powder. It
seem, to me, to be too thick for mains and rod bearing lube. The Perfect
Circle is a red color, thick oil that I think should mix with the oil
better on start-up. On the rings, I use just 30 weight engine oil.
Before start-up, I remove the spark plugs and crank the engine over to
get the oil pressure in place first, then install the plugs and ready
the engine for ignition.
