Andreas:

Tony Leeming told me that he made rubber wedges by cutting them out of
shock absorber grommets (any suitable model), and I think the dimensions
depend on your particular problem.( Tony?) I also found a flat plate that
was on the rear two bolts that appeared to be stamped out, when I
dismantled my Series I. I cut some duplicates out of 20 gauge sheet metal
and plan to use them in my assembly rather than washers. They are simply
rectangles with rounded corners and a hole at one end with a slot at the
other that will swing onto the second side bolt (something like

Has any one else seen these?)

One other thing-- I read a Rootes Service Bulletin regarding leaky
windscreens, and it warned dealers that each windscreen was individually
fitted to the car, which is probably why we have so much trouble when we
remove and replace them.
