Dave:

I just went to my local tent and awning manufacturer and had them fabricate
new ones using nylon webbing (far stronger and more resistant to chemicals).
I took in the remnants of an old one, and they used it for a pattern. I
believe rebuilt Armstrong shocks are available at Sunbeam Specialties and
other places (why would you want heavy duty?: the originals work quite well).
