I had a lot of trouble with the plastic "T" fitting that came on the cars,
they leak and break so I finally came up with a different solution. I used a
1/4x1/4x1/4 brass tee fitting but I used Teflon ferrules instead of the
brass ones. I tried this setup on some spare carbs first to make sure that
the ferrules would not crush the carb inlet tubes. The nice thing about the
Teflon ferrules is that they don't attach themselves to the carb inlet
tubes. It works great and does not leak at all. If I decide to ever go back
to the plastic "T' fitting (don't know why I would), the carb inlets are not
damaged and would easily accept the original setup.
